02. How do I know if Physiotherapy will help me?
Many musculoskeletal injuries and conditions can see significant improvement with the guidance of physiotherapy. Physiotherapy can also help with surgical conditions, neurological conditions, and balance issues. Working with you and your doctor, we can discuss your options and help determine if physiotherapy will be the right choice for you. Contact us today to discuss your current condition and set up an initial assessment or telephone consult if you choose.
03. Who will I see?
At BeActive Physio we pride ourselves on one-on-one patient care. This ensures that your primary care clinician will deliver your treatments personally, as we believe this approach fosters the highest standard of care and enhances communication regarding your injury or condition. We have a multidisciplinary team to choose from including Physiotherapists, Registered Massage Therapists and a Pedorthist who can assist with Custom Made Orthotics. As our patient, you can choose which therapist(s) you want to be a part of your recovery team.
04. Will it hurt?
Physiotherapy is not meant to hurt, but to relieve pain. As you work on enhancing your mobility, you may notice occasional variations in your pain levels. You might experience some temporary soreness from using muscles that are weakened or recovering. This is a normal response to therapy treatment. Good communication with your therapist will help minimize any discomfort. We want you on your way to quick pain relief and back to normal activities.
05. How long with each visit last?
Your initial Physiotherapy Assessment will be 1 hour long and follow up treatments will be 30 minutes per visit.
